Born in South Africa, Ty moved to Australia in 2009 and is regarded as one of Townsville’s young gun chefs. Ty worked at JAM for 8 years, moving into the Head Chef role between
2015-2018, during this time JAM continued to receive a Chef Hat award from the Australian Good Food Guide.
Ty is passionate about connecting with local producers and exploring the regions ingredients to create dishes that give diners at Bridgewater a truly unique experience.
